Cognac Surprise

This luscious concoction is pleasingly sweet and aromatic, perfect on a chilly evening.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500ml (2 cups) freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 500ml (2 cups) strong, brewed Nerada Black Tea
  • 500g (2 ½ cups) white sugar
  • 125ml (½ cup) cognac
  • Orange peel or slices to decorate

METHOD

  1. Gently heat the juices (do not boil) then strain in the hot black tea.
  2. Stir in the sugar until dissolved and add the cognac.
  3. Pour into tall glasses, and decorate with orange peel.
